The Photo Finale Mustard Photographic Show in Yountville is a juried photography exhibition held as part of the annual Napa Valley Mustard Celebration, highlighting the region’s iconic mustard-bloom season. Hosted at the Steve Rogers Gallery, the show features works by regional photographers who capture the golden mustard fields through landscapes, close-ups, and creative interpretations.

The exhibition will open on Thursday, January 22, with an opening reception at the start of the show and a closing celebration on March 26 that includes the announcement of the People’s Choice Award voted on by visitors. Okaidja Afroso comes from a family of musicians and storytellers in the fishing village of Kokrobite on Ghana’s west coast. As a boy, he worked with fishermen who sang a capella as they worked, and he passed long days learning songs of the great sea. At 19 he became a principal dancer with the Ghana Dance Ensemble in Accra. In 1999 he was invited to Portland, Oregon by the late worldbeat master Obo Addy to join his team of musicians and dancers to help promote West African culture to audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest. In 25 years of touring and performing Okaidja appeared in diverse venues from small fishing villages in the Canadian Arctic to the Kennedy Center, and he has spent countless hours in classrooms across the U.S. teaching children about Ghanaian culture and arts through educational outreach programs.

Often performed in his native language, Okaidja’s genre-defying songs convey a whole spectrum of experiences—joy, harmony, tragedy, and hope—that embrace what he calls “the rich complexity of the integrated world we inhabit.” Through his distinctive style that combines various percussion instruments, vocals, guitar, and dance, Okaidja explores the perseverance of ancestral traditions and creates a new, contemporary African oral tradition.

Okaidja was also the proud recipient of two awards from his home state. In 2021, he received the Joan Shipley Award from the Oregon Arts Commission and, in 2024, was one of only twenty-five recipients of the Miller Founder’s Spark Award for Oregon artists.

The family-favorite Flavors of Film Series: Family Edition returns with a brand-new global twist! This season, we invite you to join us every month from February 22 through May 31 to explore different cultures and corners of the world through a curated lineup of exciting films and interactive, food-based experiences that bring each movie to life.

Our first stop takes us to England with the classic stop-motion favorite, Chicken Run! Following the screening, there will be hands-on activities inspired by British flavors and culinary traditions, blending storytelling, laughter, and learning.

Bella Rayne, a remarkable 17-year-old guitarist who is swiftly gaining prominence in the blues, jam band and Grateful Dead, and bluegrass communities here in Northern California and quickly gaining national attention. She recently formed her own band, Bella Rayne & Friends, a high energy, guitar-driven ensemble with a revolving lineup of all-star musicians that bring jam band twists to soulful Southern Rock classics… plus some originals.

Please join Angela Nelson, Associate at DP&F, and an attorney in DP&F’s Employment Law group, as she presents a detailed legal update on changes in employment-related laws for 2026. She will provide valuable updates that may impact your business and give a guided overview to help you comply with those changes.

Meet our Presenter:

Angela Nelson is an attorney in DP&F’s Employment Law group. She has a diverse background in both state and federal litigation, and has experience advising commercial and municipal clients on pre-litigation liability matters, and has litigated cases regarding general torts and contract disputes, professional liability, construction design defects, second amendment rights, civil rights, childhood sexual assault, insurance law and subrogation, and family law. Prior to becoming an attorney, Angela worked at NASA Ames, fostering partnerships between government and industry professionals; she approaches litigation with an eye for pragmatic and efficient solutions.

Angela attended law school part-time at Santa Clara University, where she earned a High Tech Law Certificate with IP specialization. During law school Angela clerked at the Katherine and George Alexander Community Law Center, working on employment and immigration claims for low-income clients. In 2009 she graduated from Middlebury College where she studied Political Science and Russian.

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim bring together everyone’s favorite storybook characters for a timeless, modern classic. This Tony Award-winning work is both enchanting and deeply moving.

The story follows a Baker and his wife who long for a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the?King’s Festival, and Jack who hopes his cow will give milk. When the Baker and his wife discover that a Witch’s curse prevents them from having children, they set off on a quest to break it. Each character’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them with disastrous results.

All performances will take place in the NVC Performing Arts Center Main Theater.
