Internationally acclaimed jazz pianist and Calistoga resident, Larry Vuckovich, returns to Brannan Center after a sold out concert in October 2025! This time, he’s joined by Jackie Ryan, one of the most outstanding jazz vocalists of her time who has performed around the world.

Jackie Ryan and the Larry Vuckovich Quartet are a powerful unit. Jackie and Larry go back 30 years – concertizing, recording and touring. They share a love of interesting, wide-ranging repertoire – a unique presentation showcasing their versatility, which is basically unmatched in the jazz field today. This concert is a special presentation offering swinging jazz including Charlie Parker/Miles Davis-style bebop influence, blues/gospel, authentic interpretations of Latin American/Brazilian classics, and World Music– all of these styles taking the audience on a musical journey!

Jackie Ryan has performed, recorded and/or toured with the top jazz instrumentalists in the world, including Clark Terry, Toots Thielemans, The Jeff Hamilton Trio, John Clayton, Terry Gibbs, Jon Hendricks, Buddy DeFranco, Mike Wofford, Jon Mayer, Larry Vuckovich, Shelly Berg, Amina Figarova, Roy McCurdy, Gerald Clayton, Eric Alexander, Cyrus Chestnut, and Paquito D'Rivera to name a few.

Larry Vuckovich has worked with a who's who of jazz including Dexter Gordon, Milt Jackson, Clark Terry, Bobby Hutcherson, Jon Hendricks, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Bobby McFerrin, Philly Joe Jones, and Elvin Jones.

Joining Jackie and Larry will be legendary multi-reed saxophonist Noel Jewkes, who for over six decades has been one of the top reed players in the Bay Area; Belgrade-born hard swinging bassist Buca Necak, who has performed with such great names as Clark Terry, Anita O Day, Chet Baker, and Freddie Cole to name a few; and master drummer Jeff Minnie who was a member of Chris Botti's quartet.
