You are invited to join this unique, 3-day hands-on journey through one of the world’s oldest living
modes of painting with instructor Maria Panou from Athens, Greece.

The egg tempera technique and the ancient 4 color palette of 5th century BC Greek Master artist,
Polygnotos, will be used. No prior art experience is required - just curiosity, creativity, and a love for
art! All needed supplies are provided. We welcome you to engage with us on this special journey
into the world of ancient Greek and Byzantine Art Made Modern.

About the Teacher
Born and raised in Athens, Greece, where she currently lives, Maria Panou is a Master artist who
utilizes the Greek Byzantine method of painting. She is famous for her iconography, portrait art,
mythological rendering, and murals. We are thrilled to host Maria in Yountville!
